Periodic Functions

Lets look first at the cotangent  (cot) function.   The cotangent of angle D is cot D = (adjacent side) ∕ (opposite side) in the below triangle that cot D = B / A
The question to ask is does the opposite side become zero as the angle increases or decreases?
If so then the cotangent has asymptotes at those measurements because we cannot divide by zero.
In the below triangle as ∠ D goes to zero what happens to the lenght of side A?
What happens to side B as ∠ D goes to 900 ? Does B equal zero? If so then the cot graph will intercept the x axis.
What happens at 1800, 2700 and 3600 ?

Try to answer the above questions and then look at the cotangent graph.   graph of cot
