Inverse Functions

The sin function below is not one to one it fails the horizontal line test.


    





The cos function below is not one to one it fails the horizontal line test.


    





We can restrict the domain of a function so that a portion of a function is one to one and hence will have an inverse for that segment of the function.  
What values should we restrict the domain to in order that the sine and cosine functions would have inverses? next
