How many degrees are there in a triangle? answer

rttr4 with right-aligned text

There are six functions in trigonometry and they are called - sine, cosine, tangent, cosecant, secant and cotangent.
In measuring angles such as the 30o angle, the symbol o means degree and   ∕  means division.

Using the above triangle we can write the six trig functions of the 30o angle and they are:
sin 30o = 1/2 = opposite side ∕ hypotenuse csc 30o = 2/1 = 2 = hypotenuse ∕ opposite side
cos 30o = (√3)/2 = adjacent side ∕ hypotenuse sec 30o = 2/√3 = hypotenuse ∕ adjacent side
tan 30o = 1/√3 = opposite side ∕ adjacent side cot 30o = (√3)/1 = √3 = adjacent side ∕ opposite side

Study the above and look for a pattern. By pattern I am asking how did we use the info given by the right triangle to find the sine, cosine, tangent, cosecant, secant and cotangent of the 30o angle.

What are the six trig functions of the 60o angle. I will tell you that the sine of 60o = (√3)/2

What are the values of the remaining trig functions for the 60o angle?

         sine 60o = (√3)/2                         cosecant 60o = ? answer

    cosine 60o = ? answer          secant 60o = ? answer

           tangent 60o = ? answer        cotangent 60o = ? answer

REMEMBER THAT THE TRIG VALUES OF ANY ANGLE WILL NOT CHANGE DUE TO THE SIZE OF THE TRIANGLE.
For example - the sin of 30o will always be .5

REGARDLESS OF THE SIZE OF THE TRIANGLE.
